New Pulsar Feature: Compare searches

Since launching Pulsar in April of this year, we’ve not been resting on our laurels! The development team have been hard at work, exploring new data sources to integrate and new ways we can visualize and analyse data within the platform. We’ve got a number of exciting new features launching that we’ll be sharing with you over the next few weeks – today, we’d like to introduce a new analysis functionality: Compare.

What does Compare do? It allows you to compare searches, of course! Perhaps you want to compare your brand against its competitive set. Or see how one ad campaign has performed in relation to another. But flipping back and forward between multiple tabs is a fuss. Compare allows you to make that comparison at a glance, within one Pulsar dashboard.

The Compare feature allows you to compare up to six different searches. This feature can be found on the top right corner of the Activity overview page on the dashboard.

Comparing will allow you to see how your competitor searches are performing. This is shown by volume, visibility and sentiment, over a specific time period. This provides the opportunities to compare and contrast Topic, Audience and Content searches. On top of that, you can also compare individual data within the searches.

What types of things can you do with compare?

–       Compare your brand to a competitor

–       Compare different brand audiences
